5/20/09 - Corzine cuts property tax rebates
In a state with the highest in the nation property taxes, how can Jon Corzine cut property tax rebates? --- particularly after he promised to expand them four years ago.
While he continues to increase government spending, we all suffer.

5/17/09 - New Jersey Young Republicans
I had the opportunity to attend the New Jersey Young Republican Convention yesterday in Morristown and was asked to speak there. A tremendous turnout and lot of energy in the room.
Republicans are very hungry and ready to win this year.
Atlantic County Young Republican Chairman, Manny Aponte, continues his efforts to organize a chapter here. Look for many good things to come in the very near future.
In other news, demonstrating how flawed the federal stimulus plan is, take a look at this article about dead people receiving stimulus checks.

4/19/09 - A Freudian slip suggesting Camden control
If you had any doubt about Camden County having control over what goes on here in Atlantic County, take a look at this document.
Apparently the State Department of Transportation has allocated $1.25 million for road projects in Atlantic City to the CRDA.
We of course know CRDA as the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.
But according to DOT, CRDA stands for the "Camden Redevelopment Authority". At least that's what it says in its proposed transportation capital program description.
An honest mistake or a Freudian slip?

4/18/09 - Christie pulls Column "A" in Atlantic
In case you missed it, this past Thursday our endorsed candidate for Governor - Chris Christie - and the candidates nominated at our convention in March were awarded the Column "A" line during a secret drawing.
If you'd like to help our Christie slate in Atlantic County, please call HQ at 677-0707.
Don't forget to get out and vote for our ticket on June 2.
....
And welcome Bill Kennedy to the Republican Party. The Press of Atlantic City reports today that Mullica Township Committeeman Bill Kennedy filed papers to become a member of the Republican Party. This switch now gives Republicans a majority on Mullica's Township Committee with Mayor Janet Forman and Committeewoman Kathy Chasey.
It's always nice to have a Kennedy join the Republicans. Welcome to the party Bill.

4/9/09 - Christie jumps on "overtaxed" comment
Republican gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie released a new radio ad taking issue with Jon Corzine's treasurer's incredible statement yesterday that New Jerseyans are NOT overtaxed.
Listen to it here.
