Frank E. Conrad
Biography
Frank Conrad’s desire to contribute to his community has driven his lifelong interest in public service. Whether he’s creating local jobs at one of his Upper Township small businesses, serving local government or volunteering his time to local charities and youth sports teams, Frank uses his talents and experience to provide the people of southern New Jersey with greater opportunities and increased avenues for success.
Currently in his second term as an Upper Township Committeeman, Frank’s mission is to listen to residents, incorporate their ideas and make the tough decisions necessary to best serve the needs of Upper Township.
Throughout his time in office, Frank has never forgotten the reason he was first elected in 2005: to serve his fellow neighbors and make a positive difference in Upper Township. His fiscally conservative approach has allowed Upper Township to continue operating without a local purpose tax, saving taxpayers hundreds per year.
An owner of three Upper Township businesses, Frank understands the important role small businesses play in our economy and how regulatory developments over the last few years have forced many businesses to move out of state. As a NJ State Assemblyman, Frank will fight to grow jobs by making New Jersey more business friendly.
Frank is a husband and father who believes in strong family values. As a committeeman, he has helped maintain Upper Township’s ranking as the #2 place to live in the State of New Jersey, according to New Jersey Monthly magazine. If elected to the state Assembly, Frank will work to make New Jersey one of the premier places to live and work in the country.
Frank is a member of the Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association and is an advocate of several charitable causes. He has spearheaded events to raise money for charitable groups such as the Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association Scholarship Fund, the UT Lacrosse Association and the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has also served as a volunteer coach with local soccer and football teams.
A lifelong New Jersey resident, Frank was born in Point Pleasant and raised in Toms River. He lives in Cape May County with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children.
