Freeholder Joe McDevitt

Biography

Elected Freeholder-at-Large in November 2007 and re-elected in 2010, Joe is currently the Chairman of the Budget, Solid Waste and Jail Committees. Freeholder McDevitt is a member of the Lions Club, Rotary Club, Absecon Lighthouse, Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and St. James Catholic Church. He has been involved in youth athletic coaching in Ventnor and Atlantic City, achieving three championships.

Joe is a graduate of Richard Stockton State College with a BS degree in political science and government. He is in his 20th year teaching history at Atlantic City High School and owns a landscaping company that serves most of South Jersey.

A lifelong resident of Ventnor City, Freeholder McDevitt resides in the City with his wife Ailyn and children Joselyn and Robert.
