Tom Ballistreri

Biography

Tom Ballistreri is new to county government, but no stranger to public service. Tom serves as Mayor of Folsom Borough and was first elected to office in 1999.

Tom is proud of the many accomplishments that Folsom’s City Council has achieved during his tenure as mayor. Under his leadership, Folsom rose to #19 on NJ Monthly Magazine’s Best Places to Live

Tom is also actively involved in the Republican Party and works on projects that benefit all Atlantic County residents through his service as a County Committeeman and Club President.

In the Ballistreri family, public service comes naturally. Tom’s father, Nick, was the Gloucester County Republican Chairman and GOP State Committeeman. Nick served in Governor’s Kean’s Administration and was Chairman of the Athletic Control Board.

Tom’s professional background is in highway and bridge maintenance. He has worked for the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) as the Road Maintenance Supervisor for the last twenty five years.

Tom lives in Folsom with his wife of 21 years, Barbara. Tom and Barbara are the proud parents of a son, Alex, who is 11.
